Brown Onion Gravy

Ingredients:

  • 50 g SO GOOD BROWN ONION GRAVY (5 tbsp)
  • 600 ml Water (2 ½ cups)

Method:

  • 1. Whisk the SO GOOD BROWN ONION GRAVY powder and water in a pot.
  • 2. Bring to the boil and cook for 2 minutes until thickened.

Roast Chicken Pie

Ingredients:

  • 30 ml Oil (2 tbsp)
  • 1 Onion, chopped (150 g)
  • 125 g Mushrooms, sliced (½ packet)
  • 50 g SO GOOD BROWN ONION GRAVY (5 tbsp)
  • 600 ml Water
  • 600 g Roast chicken, de-boned and flaked
  • 5 ml Parsley, finely chopped
  • 400 g Puff pastry, defrosted
  • 1 Egg

Method:

  • 1. Heat oil in a pot. Sauté the onions in the oil until soft.
  • 2. Add the mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes.
  • 3. Mix the SO GOOD BROWN ONION GRAVY with the water and add to the pot.
  • 4. Bring up to the boil, stirring frequently. Cook for 2 minutes.
  • 5. Add the chicken and parsley and bring back to the boil.
  • 6. Pour into a serving dish and cover with pastry. Trim the edges and use them to decorate the top.
  • 7. Brush with beaten egg and bake for 30 – 40 minutes at 180° C until golden brown.

Savoury Mince

Ingredients:

  • 50 ml Oil (3 tbsp)
  • 2 Onions, chopped (300 g)
  • 500 g Mince beef
  • 50 g SO GOOD BROWN ONION GRAVY (5 tbsp)
  • 500 ml Water

Method:

  • 1. Heat oil in a pot. Sauté the onions in the oil until soft.
  • 2. Add the mince to the pot, stirring to make sure it is free of lumps. Cook for 10 minutes.
  • 3. Whisk the SO GOOD BROWN ONION GRAVY powder with the water and add to the mince.
  • 4. Bring back to the boil and cook for 5 - 10 minutes.
